Five Streams of Revelation - On the Unity of Believers
On to the New Garden of Eden

"Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Acts 2:38

Insight: Repentance involves recognizing ones own sin, being full of sorrow to God for committing it, turning away from it and going a different direction.

Stream 1C: The Holiness Based Stream How Do We Repent?

For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation,
not to be regretted;
but the sorrow of the world
produces death.
Billy Graham - What is Repentance?

"As long as we have a grain of self sufficiency, we will never trust in the All-Sufficient. While there is anything of self left,
we prefer to feed on it.
Only when our stale bread becomes too sour
and too moldy for eating,
do we humbly ask for the bread
of heaven to satisfy." Charles Spurgeon

Reformed & Puritan Voices on Repentance
Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands
all men everywhere to repent,
because He has appointed a day
on which He will judge the world
in righteousness by the Man
whom He has ordained.
He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.”
Acts 17:30-31

Rabbi Schneider - Haiti Repentance,
Healing and Freedom
"Repent, then, and turn to God,
so that your sins may be wiped out,
that times of refreshing may
come from the Lord,
and that he may send the Christ,
who has been appointed for you -
even Jesus.
He must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything,
as he promised long ago through his holy prophets." Acts 3:19-21

"The Lord is not slow in
keeping his promise,
as some understand slowness.
Instead he is patient with you,
not wanting anyone to perish,
but everyone to come to repentance."
2 Peter 3:9
George Whitefield - A Repentant Heart
"For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword,
piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow,
and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Hebrews 4:12
