How to Make

Prayer Feel Normal

For your Father knows the things you

have need of before you ask Him.

In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven,

Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come, Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,

As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,

But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the

power and the glory forever. Amen.

Learning to Hear from God

“And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites.

For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and

on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men.

Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.

But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door,

pray to your Father who is in the secret place;

and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do.

For they think that they will be heard for their many words."  Mathew 6:5-7

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray,

believe that you receive them,

and you will have them.“

And whenever you

stand praying,

if you have anything against anyone,

forgive him,

that your Father in heaven may also forgive you

your trespasses.

Mark 11:24-25

Victory is Already Yours

“When my soul fainted

within me,
I remembered the Lord;
And my prayer

went up to You,
Into Your holy temple.

“Those who regard

worthless idols
Forsake their own Mercy.
But I will sacrifice to You
With the voice of thanksgiving;
I will pay what I have vowed.
Salvation is of the Lord.”

So the Lord spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.  Jonah 2:7-10

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, But the prayer of the upright is His delight. Proverbs 15:8

Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes. Daniel 9:3

One who turns away his ear from

hearing the law,

Even his prayer is an abomination.

Even them I will bring to My holy mountain, And make them joyful

Prayer as a Way of Walking in Love

So also Christ did not glorify Himself

to become High Priest,

but it was He who said to Him:

“You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.”

..who, in the days of His flesh,

when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears

to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of

His godly fear, though He was a Son,

yet He learned obedience by the things

which He suffered."  Hebrews 5:5,7

that if we ask anything according to His will,

He hears us."  1 John 5:14
